Physical & Chemical Properties

Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and glycerol. Density approx. 1.68 g/cm³ (20°C), melting point 1124°C. Easily effloresces to powder in dry air; loses 4 crystal waters at 80°C, and all crystal waters at about 200°C to become anhydrous magnesium sulfate. pH (50g/L, 25°C): 5–8.

Product Features

Stable chemical properties, good water solubility, provides both magnesium and sulfur, low caking tendency, easy to dose and control.

Main Applications

Agriculture (Fertilizer) : Provides Mg and S (Mg is core element of chlorophyll, promotes photosynthesis; S promotes root growth). Suitable for Mg-deficient soils for fruit trees, vegetables, potatoes, rice, flowers, etc. Used as base or top dressing, or as 1%-2% foliar spray.Feed Additive : Supplies Mg and S for animals, promotes growth and development.Food Industry : Nutrient fortifier (Mg fortifier), curing agent, flavor enhancer, processing aid. Used in dairy products (3-7 g/kg), dairy drinks (1.4-2.8 g/kg), mineral beverages, as well as brewing additive and fermentation nutrient source.Industrial Applications : Leather, dyeing, catalyst, paper, plastics, ceramics, pigments, matches, explosives, fireproof materials, cement coagulant, ABS resin manufacturing, water treatment, etc.Pharmaceutical : Laxative, anticonvulsant, cholagogue, electrolyte supplement.

Storage Condition

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse, protected from moisture; keep sealed to prevent efflorescence.

Transportation Requirements

Not dangerous goods (UN No.: NA); transport as general cargo. Protect from moisture and rain; handle gently.
